Meet our massage therapists...

Beth Stipe, LMT

As the proud owner (along with my supportive husband Colin Stipe) of The Kneaded Touch, I am happy to run a business with the sole purpose of healing and relaxation for our comunity.  I grew up in Amherst and met the previous owners of TKT through a Medical Technology program at Amherst Steele High School, which inspired me to study Massage Therapy. After a significant motor vehicle accident in 2004, I found out first hand the healing ways of touch and massage therapy, which further drove me to follow this path.

I graduated from Harmony Path School of Massage Therapy in Rocky River, OH in 2008 and received my State Board Licensure in January of 2009.  I have studied Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Lomi-Lomi (Hawaiian Massage), Hot Stone Massage, Prenatal Massage, Deep Tissue for Relaxation, TMJD & Migraine relief techniques & more.

Together with life experiences and hard work, I have a great collection of tools that I use to help tailor each therapy session to the individual.  I hope you enjoy my 'happy place' as much as I do.

His approach to massage therapy is a balance between relaxation and therapy. With experience working for a Chiropractor, Doug really knows how to work on injuries, specific trouble areas, and more.

He is also trained in CranioSacral Massage - which is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.  Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams - about the weight of a nickel - practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system.
